I have been an avid reader and writer since childhood but never dared to "go public" with my efforts. However, turning fifty and alone during a global pandemic inspired me to grow beyond my comfort zone. I embraced the saying, "It's never too late to be what you might have been," and set a goal to write my first novel within a year. Eleven months and eight days later, I finished my first draft. The manuscript is now complete, and I am in the querying process.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Management and have worked in multiple fields over my career, including college financial aid, technical writing, real estate management, grant administration and customer service. Currently, I am a middle-manager in corporate accounting.
Outside of work and writing, I love the outdoors, particularly hiking and swimming. Much of my writing content is imagined while on the trail. I also enjoy time with my family, especially my "grands" and my favorite child, Hazel (my mini-Schnauzer). Additionally, I enjoy DIY projects and crafts, as well as life-long learning opportunities. As with all middle-agers, I've recently taken up pickle ball.
